Services

MIGH strives to provide services that will enrich the lives of Hispanics through education for a better tomorrow. The courses offered by the institute produce very important benefits for all involved. One of them is the marked increase of Parental Involvement in the educational lives of their children, and volunteering at the schools they are attending. That, consequently, benefits their children and the schools in many different forms. Our current courses, for adult Hispanics are listed below and explained in detail under our "Programs- Computer Training" tab.

El Instituto Mexicano de Houston se esfuerza en proveer servicios a la comunidad Hispana para que enriquezcan y mejoren sus vidas mediante la educación. Los cursos que ofrece el instituto producen muy buenos beneficios para los estudiantes, sus familias y las escuelas a las que asisten sus hijos. Uno de ellos es el aumento en Participación de Padres en la educación formal de sus hijos, y como voluntarios en las escuelas donde asisten. Esto les ayuda a los niños y las escuelas de muchas maneras. Los cursos que ofrece el instituto para adultos están enlistados abajo y se explican con detalle en la sección bajo “Programs” y “Computer Training”.

This list of educational services is continuously growing, as MIGH is undergoing an expansion and development phase, creating and investing in new jobs and adult education thanks to federal funding provided by the U.S. government stimulus package (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009). It is being provided through the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration, and the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP).

Esta lista de servicios educativos está continuamente creciendo, ya que MIGH está bajo una fase de expansión y desarrollo, al crear e invertir en nuevos trabajos y educación, debido a los fondos federales recibidos del gobierno de los Estados Unidos,  parte del paquete de estimulo económico (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009).  Este es proveído a través  de la Administración de Telecomunicación e Información y el programa BTOP (Broadband Technology Opportunities Program) los cuales pertenecen al Departamento de Comercio de los Estados Unidos.

While educating the Hispanic community through course content and teaching is MIGH’s central activity, we also offer some services for the Mexican community and those interested in visiting Mexico. These services include the preparation of Power of Attorney (Cartas Poder) in Spanish, for Mexico. Our close proximity to the Mexican Consulate allows the general public and those in need of these services to learn about and seize the opportunity for education, legal consultation, document copying, and passport photos. El educar a la comunidad hispana por medio de cursos educativos es una actividad fundamental del Instituto Mexicano, pero también proveemos servicios para la comunidad Mexicana y aquellos que estén interesados en viajar a México. Estos servicios incluyen la preparación de Cartas Poder.  Al estar localizados cerca del Consulado de México, el público puede aprovechar estos servicios convenientes de educación, consultoría, apostillas, copias, fotos para pasaporte, etc. Para más detalles sobre estos servicios haga clic sobre los títulos “Photos/ Copies” y “Carta Poder”.
