MIGH – Moving Forward with Technology
MIGH offers educational programs in Spanish that benefit the Hispanic community of the region. Our programs are categorized as promoters of Parental Involvement as they are designed to assist parents understand the educational system in the US, to help them help their children, and to further their own education. Through our Community Learning Centers, offered at schools, community development and faith based organizations, MIGH reaches more individuals.
El Instituto Mexicano de Houston ofrece programas de educación en español que benefician a la comunidad hispana de esta región. Nuestros programas han sido reconocidos como promotores de participación creciente entre padres en las escuelas donde atienden sus hijos, ya que son diseñados para ayudarles a entender el sistema educativo en los EE.UU. y poder asistir a sus hijos al mejorar su propia educación. Por medio de nuestros Centros Comunitarios de Aprendizaje (CLC’s), el Instituto Mexicano alcanza a más personas.
The Basic Computer Technology Course
Taught through 2 weekly sessions of 3 hours each Language of instruction: Spanish Location: School Computer Laboratory Schedule: School sets own schedule Class size: Maximum of 30 parents Pre-requisites: Parent ability to read/write in Spanish Book/materials: $40.00 manual and USB/flash drive Instructors: Instructor: trained on-site instructor paid by MIGH On-line Tutor: trained/provided and paid by MIGH
