The Mexican Institute of Greater Houston is seeking a professional to fill a position in financial accounting and program development.
Applicants meeting the following requirements are encouraged to apply: 1. Full working knowledge of federal grant requirements for non-profits (specifically OMB Circulars A-122 and A-133) and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) reporting requirements with proven skills to: (a) Review policies and procedures for compliance with all federal regulations and submit recommended changes to the President/Executive Director for consideration. Develop/implement approved changes; (b) Provide guidance on project expenditures to comply with regulations; (c) Compile necessary information, prepare and submit all quarterly and annual federal reports (Performance Progress Reports OMB 0660-0037, Federal Financial Report SF-425) for the federal project; 2. Minimum 5 years federal grant management and reporting experience as well as some accounting/financial reporting background; 3. Bachelor’s degree (accounting/finance/CPA preferred); (Non-profit) Quickbooks experience preferred; Successful grant writing experience to foundations, companies, and government agencies; Working command of Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; A team-player conducting himself/herself in a respectful and tactful manner. ========================================================================================= The person in this position will report directly to MIGH President and Executive Director.
